The Power Cost Adjustment factor (PCA) is a standard rate recovery adjustment for electric utilities to recover monthly wholesale power cost changes (increases or decreases) to the REMC due to environmental expenses, fuel cost adjustments, and power purchases on the open power market.
The REMC is a member-owned not-for-profit organization. Rates are designed to only recover the “revenue requirements” that the REMC needs to operate and maintain our system and provide safe, reliable and competitively priced electricity to REMC members.
