Attention Firefighters and Emergency Personnel
It is time for area firefighter and emergency personnel to gather at Harrison REMC. Keep Wednesday, February 23, 2022, open for this annual Harrison REMC event.
This year our presentation will address how to fight fires safely when a home is equipped with solar panels and/or home storage batteries are present. We have had an increase in solar installations and some of these have a battery backup. The REMC wants to be sure you are familiar with these systems and know the necessary steps to take to be safe if you encounter these technologies in an emergency.
We would also like to give departments an opportunity to address the group with comments or questions. Please call us in advance if your department would like to discuss an issue or has a question for the group so we can include it in the program.
All attendees will be parking inside the fence on the east side of the building. The event will be held in the back warehouse. We ask that you enter through the door of the back warehouse.
A meal will be provided beginning at 5:30 p.m. for attending members. REMC will present a $100 donation to each fire department or emergency agency represented. In addition, each department will receive an extra $10 per attendee until the total donation reaches a maximum of $200. Please help us plan for the event by contacting Cathy Racicot at 738-4115 or 951-2323 ext. 237, or email email@example.com with the number of people you expect to attend by February 4. We hope to see you February 23 at Harrison REMC in Corydon.
